Curry Soup & Garlic Bread Croutons

Ingredients:
Moong Dhal (without skin) (split green gram) 1/2 cup Milk 1 cup Onion 1 Garlic 6 flakes Tomatoes 2 Carrot 1 Oil 1 1/2 tbsp Sambar powder 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp Salt 1 1/4 tsp Sugar 1 tsp Pepper 1/2 tsp
Directions:
Chop onion, garlic and tomatoes. Wash moong dhal. Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add onion and garlic.Fry till onions becomes golden in colour. Add sambar powder and garam masala powder and fry till you get a nice aroma. Add tomatoes, carrot and fry till it dissolves.Add moong dhal, fry a bit, add three cups of water, salt, sugar and pepper and pressure cook for ten minutes. When cold, liquidise everything, add half cup of water and half cup of milk. Heat well and serve piping hot with a sprinkling of garlic bread croutons.
Garlic Bread Croutons
Ingredients:
Bread 6 slices Butter or oil 2 tbsp Garlic 10 flakes Salt 1/4 tsp Pepper 1/4 tsp
Directions:
Cube bread pieces. Grind garlic. Heat oil or butter in a pan, fry bread cubes on a slow fire till crisp and golden in colour. Add salt and pepper, fry a bit, add ground garlic, fry till raw smell of garlic disappears and the croutons are well roasted. Serve sprinkled on hot curry soup.
