Nithin Ramakrishnan, an 18-year-old law graduate student, one of the youngest film makers in the Malayalam film industry, is trying to mark his presence in the indutry with his debut movie Apoorva .
'The film will be released in Kerala most probably on September12, the day of the harvest festival Onam', he told saidNithin said 'I can assure you that Apoorva will not be yet another run-of-the-mill campus story. I have tried to narrate it in the style of a short story'.
Dr N Ramakrishnan, Nithin's father who is a Psychiatrist said he was aware of his talent from childhood and encouraged and supported him in all his projects.
The lead role is played by Tamil actor Sanjeev and Soundarya, a former Miss Kerala. Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Mani is also playing a key role in the film as a police officer. Besides, Innocent, Tamil comedian Senthil, Kalpana and Vimala Raman are also acting in the film, he said.
He said he was very grateful to all the actors for giving him the support and cooperation in making his dream come true. 
Nithin said he was happy that he could complete the film, in approximately six months, the work of which was started in April. The main shooting location was Bharatha Matha higher secondary school here.
He said through ' Apoorva ,' he had made an attempt to showcase the social consciousness among the youth'.
Nithin said he was confident that the film will be a box-office success, specially after his short film 'Amrithavarshini: A Drop of Warmth', which had won jury mention at the Nokia mobile fest held in Mumbai.
