Big B Amitabh Bachchan visited the Srisailam Mallanna temple along with his family. Abhisekh and Aishwarya Rai accompanied the Big B.
After offering puja, Amitabh Bachchan was informed by the temple authorities that they were planning to cover the Dwajasthamabam with a golden sheet and about 8.5 kg gold was required for the purpose.
Amitabh responded immediately and asked the temple authorities to send him the blue print. Amitabh agreed to bear the cost and promised that he would give once crore for the same.
